Google Chrome App for Math
http://numberline.classworks.com/ is a free app or webpage that allows students to manipulate a number line more easily than with paper and pencil. Students who have trouble with directionality and fine motor control will find this tool to be more user friendly. |
There are five icons on the bottom that provide easy access to tools.
1. The light blue icon allows the user the change the scale.2. The second and yellow icon may be used for skip counting by each number shown on the number line.
3. The third and purple icon allows the user to show addition or subtraction. When a number is clicked with the mouse jumps are automatically drawn to show related jumps forward or backward, (See Illustration)
4. The fourth and green icon seems to be useful for clearing jumps and allow the user and clean number line to work on.
5. The fifth and red question mark is for help with the app. The help site includes a video and resources. The help website link is http://help.classworks.com/home/number-line/
